Besan Turmeric Red chili powder Asafoetida Salt , water Chopped veggies (onions, tomatoes, coriander, and green chilies) Oil
In a mixing bowl, combine besan, turmeric, red chili powder, asafoetida, and salt. Gradually add water to form a smooth, thick batter. Add chopped veggies of your choice for flavor
Heat The Pan
Place a non stick pan or tawa over medium heat. Add a little oil and spread it evenly. The pan should be hot but not smoking.
Pour a ladle of the prepared batter onto the pan and spread it into a round shape. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip it over carefully and cook the other side.
Once both sides are golden and crispy, remove the cheela from the pan. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt for a perfect breakfast!
