 Ingredients You Need For Black Gram Dal 

Black gram dal (urad dal),   Onion Tomato Garlic ,Ginger paste Spices : Cumin ,turmeric , red chili powder ,Garam masala, coriander powder Salt , oil  Fresh coriander

 Soak The Dal For  The Perfect Texture 

 Soak black gram dal in water for 4-6 hours. This softens the beans and helps them cook faster, resulting in a smooth, creamy dal 

Step 1

 Temper With Spices For Authentic Flavor 

 Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and finely chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown for that signature aroma!

Step 2

 Cook The Dal With Tomatoes & Spices 

 Add soaked dal, chopped tomatoes, turmeric, and salt. Let it cook in a pressure cooker or simmer in a pot until tender and perfectly blended with the spices

Blend For A Smooth & Creamy Texture 

 Once the dal is cooked, use a hand blender or mash it slightly for a creamy consistency. The smooth texture adds richness to every bite 

Step 4

 Finish With A  Flavorful Tadka 

 Prepare a tadka by tempering garlic, cumin, and red chilies in ghee. Pour this sizzling mix over your dal for an added punch of flavor 

Step 5

 Serve With Rice Or Roti  For A Complete Meal 

 Serve the rich, creamy Black Gram Dal with steamed basmati rice or soft roti. Garnish with fresh cilantro for the perfect finish
