Basmati rice Grated coconut Mustard seeds Urad dal Red chilies Green chili Curry leaves Salt & oil
Use freshly cooked or leftover rice. Let it cool completely before mixing it helps prevent clumping
Heat oil. Add mustard seeds. Once they pop, add urad dal, red chilies, green chili & curry leaves. Fry until golden
Stir in the grated coconut. Sauté for 2–3 minutes on low flame. Don’t let it brown—just release the aroma
Add the cooled rice to the pan. Sprinkle salt and mix gently to coat the rice evenly with coconut and spices
