Fresh veggies (broccoli, carrots, zucchini, etc.) Butter Garlic (fresh or minced) Salt and pepper Lemon juice Fresh herbs
Wash and chop your vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Try a mix of colors and textures for variety!
Use a steamer basket or pot with a lid. Fill the bottom with water, making sure it doesn’t touch the veggies.
Place the veggies in the steamer basket and cover. Steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still vibrant.
In a small pan, melt 2-3 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
Add 2-3 minced garlic cloves (or more if you love garlic!) to the melted butter. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the garlic butter. Stir well to combine.
Once the veggies are done steaming, pour the garlic butter over them. Toss gently to coat evenly.
For an extra touch, add a squeeze of lemon juice or sprinkle some fresh herbs like parsley or thyme. Serve and enjoy!
