Learn how to make a flavorful, protein packed chana dal curry that’s perfect with rice or roti. Let’s get cooking
Chana dal Onion Tomato Ginger-garlic paste Spices: Cumin, turmeric, red chili, garam masala, mustard seeds Salt & oil Fresh coriander
Rinse and soak chana dal for 30 minutes
Dal Cook it with salt and turmeric Pressure Cookuntil soft setting and set time to 10 minutes on High Pressure
Heat oil, splutter cumin & mustard seeds. Add chopped onions,sauté the garlic, ginger
Pour in the tomato purée and add spices continue to cook until the oil starts to separate from the masala.
Add cooked dal to the masala. Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes until flavors combine beautifully.
Heat ghee/oil, add red chilies, garlic, and a pinch of hing. Pour this tadka over the dal for that irresistible aroma!
Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve hot with rice, jeera rice, or phulkas. Comfort food at its best
