Cool, comforting, and simple to make Curd Rice is a South Indian favourites that’s perfect for any season. Let's make it step by step
Basmati rice Curd ,milk Mustard seeds Urad dal Green chili Ginger Curry leaves, Salt & oil Fresh coriander leave
Use soft cooked rice. Mash lightly while it’s still warm. Let it cool completely before mixing in curd
Add curd to the cooled rice. Add salt to taste. Mix them well.
Add little milk Mix well until smooth and creamy.
Heat 1 tbsp oil. Add mustard seeds. Let them pop. Then add urad dal, chopped green chili, grated ginger, and curry leaves
Pour the hot tempering over the curd rice mixture. Stir well to combine. Garnish with coriander, pomegranate seeds, or grated carrot for extra flavor, color, and crunch.
Serve chilled or at room temperature. Great with pickle, papad, or a side of veggies. Simple comfort in every bite
