Steamed Momos: A Simple, Delicious Recipe

Craving something tasty and healthy? Try this easy steamed momos recipe for a perfect snack or appetizer!

Ingredients for the Dough 

You’ll need: all-purpose flour, water, salt, and a little oil to make the soft and stretchy momo dough. Simple and quick!

Ingredients for the Filling 

For the filling: finely chopped veggies (cabbage, carrots, and onions), garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and a dash of pepper. Customize with chicken or tofu!

Prepare the Dough 

Combine flour, water, salt, and oil to form a smooth dough. Knead for about 5-7 minutes, then let it rest for 20 minutes.

Make the Momo Filling 

Sauté chopped veggies with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and seasoning. Once cooled, use this mixture as the delicious filling.

Shape the Momos 

Roll the dough into small balls, flatten them, and spoon in the filling. Fold and pinch the edges to seal, forming a pleated momo shape.

Steam the Momos 

Place the momos in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam for 12-15 minutes until they become soft and slightly shiny.
