Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 8 Slices of sandwich bread
  • 1 Large potato, boiled and thinly sliced
  • 1 Large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 Large cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 Onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 Slices of cheese
  • Butter, softened, for spreading
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chaat masala (optional)
  • Mint chutney (recipe below)
  • Tomato ketchup (optional)
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Mint Chutney Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1-2 Green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions

Instructions:

    1. Prepare Mint Chutney:

    • In a blender, combine mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, lemon juice, cumin seeds, and salt. Blend until smooth, adding water as needed to reach your desired consistency. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.

    2. Assemble the Sandwiches:

    • Lay out 4 slices of bread on a clean surface. Spread a layer of softened butter on each slice. Spread a generous amount of mint chutney on each slice. Arrange potato slices, tomato slices, cucumber slices, and onion slices on two of the bread slices. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and chaat masala (if using) over the vegetables. Place a slice of cheese on top of the vegetables. Close the sandwiches with the remaining bread slices, chutney side dow

    3. Grill the Sandwiches:

    • Preheat a sandwich maker or grill pan. Carefully place the assembled sandwiches on the hot grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes or until the bread turns golden brown and crispy, and the cheese melts. If using a grill pan, you may need to press down on the sandwiches with a spatula to flatten them slightly.

    4. Serve:

    • Once the sandwiches are grilled to perfection, remove them from the grill. Cut each sandwich diagonally into two triangles. Serve hot with additional mint chutney and tomato ketchup on the side, if desired. Garnish with mint leaves before serving.
