Ingredients

  • 1 Firm-Fleshed fish (Salmon, mahi-mahi, cod, or tilapia), cut into cubes
  • 1 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbsp Tandoori Masala
  • 1 tbsp  Red Chilli Powder (Adjust for spice preference)
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tbsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil for grilling/baking/frying

Instructions

Marinate the Fish

  • In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and spices like turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. You can adjust the spice level to your taste
  • Cut your fish (like salmon or cod) into bite-sized pieces and toss them in the marinade. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or even longer for deeper flavor.

Cook the Fish

  • You have a few options here! You can thread the marinated fish onto skewers
  • Grill them on medium-high heat for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through
  • Bake them in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through
  • If you don't have skewers, simply place the fish pieces on a baking tray and cook them in the oven following the same instructions
  • Once the fish is cooked through and nicely browned, serve it hot with a squeeze of lemon juice and your favorite dipping sauce, like mint chutney or raita. You can also enjoy it with rice or naan bread.
