- 500 grams Fish Kingfish or Snapper
- 1 Cup Coconut Milk
- 1 Onion, Thinly Sliced
- 2 Green Chilies
- 1 Piece of Ginger
- 3-4 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tbsp Fenugreek Seeds
- 2-3 Curry Leaves
- 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh Coriander Leaves for Garnish
Add Sliced Onions and Curry Leaves
Add sliced onions, green chilies, ginger, garlic, and curry leaves to the pan. Sauté them until the onions turn translucent and aromatic.
Place the marinated fish pieces into the pan
Simmer and Season
Allow the curry to simmer for another 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly and for the flavors to intensify.
Check for seasoning and adjust salt and spice levels according to your taste preference.
Turn off the heat and garnish the Kerala Fish Moilee with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
